Band of HM Life Guards


The Life Guards Regiment was formed to Guard the Sovereign at the Restoration of the Monarchy (1660, Charles 2nd) and this is their continued role in modern times. Together with our Sister Regiment, The Blues & Royals we comprise the Household Cavalry, consisting four modern mechanised Squadrons of tanks and armoured cars (per regiment) for active service and one mounted squadron for ceremonial duty each.
